2009 Holus Bolus Syrah
The 2009 Holus Bolus Syrah is sourced from 2 vineyards located in the Los Alamos Valley of Santa Barbara County. Two-thirds of the grapes are from a small stand-alone two acre block at Watch Hill Vineyard. The alluvial soils of Watch Hill give this wine a unique combination of fruit, elegance and acidity. The remaining grapes are from Los Tres Burros Vineyard which is just over the ridge from Watch Hill. Unfortunately for us Los Tres Burros was purchased by Manfred Krankl at Sine Qua Non in 2010 and we are no longer able to purchase these grapes. Aged for 14 months in one-year-old 350 liter French oak barrels. 500 cases produced. * Chosen as LA Times Wine Of The Week, March 2011.
